Introduction
Welcome to the Dark Warriors. The Dark Warriors are a Club Penguin Army which was founded back in 2007. For those of you who don’t know what a Club Penguin Army is, it is a group of people who join each other, arm in arm, to fight other armies with the aim of becoming the best army in the army community. Every week, there is a Top Ten list of armies, judging their performances throughout the week.
In addition to the Top Ten, armies participate on a community map, where each army can claim and defend various pieces of land. Armies will fight over pieces of land to try to control the map and assert their dominance. Ultimately, armies are competitive, but it is a friendly environment.

First tine using Discord? We’ve got you covered! Discord is a social platform which allows people from all over the world to use, message friends, build servers and communities (big or small groups of people). You can communicate with people through private messages, like Facebook or through channels in servers with multiple people – depending on how many are in the server. You can also use voice channels to voice chat with others and play games or use different activities like YouTube.
Once you join the Discord you will be asked a question:
Once you choose you join, you will be given the role ‘Dark Warriors’ Recruit. This will enable you to interact with the server much like our other members.
To get started, you will be asked to do four things. These things will help you get to know a bit more about the server and what we do while also giving you the option to self-equip some roles.
Once you have clicked on each of these and read the information in them, you will have completed the server “guide” aka the tour of the server’s important information.
At first, you may only see a few channels with some channels being suggested to you. Among these channels will be the main-chat where everyone can talk to each other and also our important information channels. To be able to see the rest of the server, click on Channels and Roles and select which channels you’d like to appear in your list or, for ease of use, select ‘Follow Category’ for each category
Now that you have done this, you will have access to most of the server and be able to interact with everyone in it!
The above picture is the main chat where everyone can talk to each other and interact with other members of the server. This is where most interactions will take place.
Additionally, an important part of our server will be the events section where we post our upcoming events.
Clicking interested on the event will confirm that you are interest in coming to the event and will try to be there. Doing this will allow us to see how many people to expect at the event. As you can see in the above picture, 27 people were interested in that specific event at the time. You will also see, on the left hand side, there are channels for other events. These events are on different days at different times so be sure to check them out and see which ones you are able to come to!
Events and Ranks
When we host events, we will always be hyping the chat before the event starts to make sure everyone is aware that the event is going to be happening and we encourage everyone to join in on the hype train. 30 minutes before the event is set to start, we will release the game/server that we will log in on and also the room that we will be starting in. An example of what this may look like is below:
You’ll notice there are two links. The first one is CPABattleground which is one of the games we will play on regularly. The second one is a link to join the voice chat that will be ongoing throughout the event. All commands for the event will be given both in VC and in Main Chat so if you can’t join the voice chat, that is not a problem.
Before the event starts, be sure to equip our uniform in-game. To do this, type !army DW in-game and the uniform will automatically be equipped for you!
Once the event starts, the Main Chat will be locked and the event leaders will start the event. Throughout it, they will give commands like “Press EP or E5!”. This means that, in-game, you should press E and P or E and 5 on your keyboard and an emote will appear over your penguin’s head.
If you’re on mobile, there is a section on the games chatbar which you can click to bring up the available emotes. All you need to do it click the winky face in the bottom left corner then click the emote you need.
On CPAB, you should make sure to repeat tactics – keep doing the tactic until the next one is sent. So if a leader says “EP”, keep performing the puffle emote until the next tactic is sent. Not all emotes are available to use on the mobile version so try your best to do what you can!
Alongside emotes, word tactics will be sent in chat like “FEAR THE DARK”. When tactics like this are sent, simply copy it from the Discord server and past it into your chat bar in-game and send. Keep doing this until the next tactic is sent. Below is an example of everyone sending a word tactic in-game.
Other commands which may be given is “X FORM” or “Press J into an X”. In the above picture, you can see that the army have created an X in-game. So all it means is that you try your best to get in a space in the formation and press J whilst getting into it.
If someone tells you to Bomb, run around like crazy whilst sending the tactic.

Uniform: The clothes that the army wears
Formation: The different shapes we will create in games like the X above.
Tactic: Something that you will perform in-game e.g. pressing E and 5 to perform an emote tactic.
Maps: In the bottom left and corner, there is a map, use this to move from room to room when asked. E.g. “OPEN MAPS…. BOMB COVE”
Attending events can earn you promotions. If you have just joined the army, you will have the rank of Dark Warriors Recruit. After creating your CPAB Penguin, you will obtain the role CPAB Enlisted. Then, once you attend your first event, you will gain your first official promotion – Dark Private.

Each set of roles have different requirements. For example, troop roles can be earned from attending events but the LCOM roles (Staff roles) will require you be active, helping to get new people into the server, attend events regularly, help new troops create their penguins and much more. It is more challenging than the troop promotions but if you’re motivated and dedicated then you will soar through the ranks and become the future of the army.
