Leader Q&A: Salah

FROSTY, Dark Warriors – Welcome to the first edition of Leader Q&A, where we will be interviewing Salah. Let’s drive straight in!!

Salah/Hulk began his journey in armies in 2011, when Underground Mafia Army attempted to recruit him. Although he never truly joined the army, it was his first exposure and gave him a glimpse into the community. His first proper experience came later with Club Penguin Pirates Army, which marked the true beginning of his involvement in armies, where he got the chance to experience a war against Army of Club Penguin. After a while, his journey started spicing up, and he began discovering other armies like Chaos Army of Club Penguin, which he was around for during their very first generation following their founding. 2012 was an enjoyable experience for him. Unfortunately, Pirates didn’t last long due to certain leadership issues at the time.

Next in his journey was Dark Warriors, from late 2012 until 2014. Salah remained active within the army and rose all the way to second in command. Sadly, the generation didn’t last too long, so Salah looked for other armies at the time. This included Golden Troops, where he ranked up all the way to leader, also reaching number one in the Top Ten at the time. However, it was short-lived, as the army shut down. Salah then rekindled his old ways and returned to Pirates as a leader for a brief time until it eventually shut down.

Prior to his retirement during his first stint in Club Penguin Armies, Salah’s journey continued as he became involved with several other armies, including Golds and Night Rebels, eventually reaching leadership positions in both. These experiences added further leadership stints to his army career and allowed him to gain experience across several different armies before eventually stepping away from the community.

Following this, Club Penguin shut down. Salah wasn’t expecting armies to survive, but they did, and this was also the period when armies transitioned from Xat to Discord. Afterwards many years later, Salah would yet again stumbled his way into Dark Warriors, joining the revival as an advisor. He then became HCOM and shortly after, due to his strong contributions and continued activity, became a Supreme Commander, a position he has held ever since.

Be Honest… Are you secretly an undercover Light Troop SPY?!

I would be interested in an undercover action, but sadly I’m allergic to the light. but trust me the biggest light troop spy is Midlight

How did you first discover Club Penguin?

The first time I came across Club Penguin was after I finally convinced my family to purchase a laptop.

I loved games that were played through websites, so Miniclip was very trendy at the time, and they heavily advertised Club Penguin.

I remember the first party I joined was the Holiday Party 2010. It was pretty confusing, but it was fun being a penguin.

How did you first come across Dark Warriors and what made you decide to join after such a long inactive state?

For the current generation, I mainly heard through Beary, as we had maintained contact for many years, and he was really dedicated to making sure veterans stayed in touch.

I would say that the decision to return came after seeing that many veterans had no desire to see it revived. I thought it would be good to have an army that I cherished from my active early career days in CPA back and running stronger than ever.

While it took me a while to be convinced to become a staff member again after initially joining as an advisor, the love for the army and the desire to make it special ultimately made me decide to return as a commander for this generation.

What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve faced since returning to the modern CPA community?

Tough question to ask. I would say challenges like the mental aspect, member welfare, and moderation are all difficult things to approach compared to the past.

However, I believe the biggest challenge is, without a doubt, achieving growth in the modern day when reviving an army from scratch, as the original Club Penguin is no longer here to sustain growth like it did when it was present.

What’s the biggest goal you want to achieve during your time as a Dark Warriors leader

I think there are many goals. However, my biggest goal is definitely to have Dark Warriors at the top and dominating, whether it be in tournaments, wars, or even the Top Ten rankings.

I still believe it will be a long road, one filled with plenty of fun and memorable moments, driven by the desire for growth and the opportunity to find even more amazing people to join us and become part of our family and community.

Well, that’s it for today’s interview with Salah! An interesting army history, but what will the future hold for him? Will Dark Warriors hit Number 1 in the Top Ten? Will Dark Warriors become a Super Giant? Only time will tell. Thank you to Salah for taking time out of his day for this wonderful interview <3
