FROSTY, Dark Warriors – Welcome to the first-ever edition of Veteran Spotlight which is a new column that will be featuring our veterans. Today we will be interviewing Silverburg. Let’s drive straight in!!!
Silverburg’s Journey
Silverburg joined armies in 2010 after being recruited into the Underground Mafias Army. Despite his early start, he is primarily recognized for his leadership at the Rebel Penguin Federation from 2014 to 2019. He distinguished himself as the first and only prominent army leader to sustain the army following the closure of Club Penguin. Additionally, he was the first to effectively leverage Club Penguin Private Servers (CPPS’s), demonstrating that the army community retained significant potential for growth. Under Silverburg’s leadership, the RPF achieved two Legends Cup victories in 2015 and 2016, alongside engaging in numerous conflicts with major armies.
Silverburg’s Journey in Dark Warriors
Silverburg’s tenure as the leader of the Dark Warriors was brief yet highly successful. He initially joined the army in June 2014 with the objective of overseeing the AUSIA division. However, due to the summer season, he became actively involved in the EU & US divisions. During the period from June to August 2014, he collaborated with Elmikey, XxToysoldier, and Vo Yo. Together, they maintained the Dark Warriors as the top-ranked army in the community throughout his leadership. Their performance was dominant, culminating in a decisive victory over Waterkid and Roberto’s Light Troops, who were the second-strongest army at that time.
In August, Elmikey and Silverburg decided to rejoin the Rebel Penguin Federation (RPF) following an invitation, a move that provoked significant backlash from the Dark Warriors, resulting in them becoming direct targets of the very army which they had previously assisted in building. However, over time, tensions eased, and Silverburg was eventually invited back to the Dark Warriors in the capacity of an advisor.
In December 2014, Silverburg opted to rejoin during the winter break and subsequently established the renowned Dragons leadership team, which included himself, Toy, Drake, Pufpuf103, and Spi101. Together, they rapidly achieved sizes comparable to those attained during the summer and even exceeded them during the finals of the Christmas Chaos tournament, where the Dark Warriors once again triumphed over the Light Troops, thereby securing our second and final victory in the Christmas Chaos tournament. After this event, Silverburg retired from the Dark Warriors and devoted the rest of his career to the Rebel Penguin Federation. In the coming years, Silverburg would remain active within the community and would later be inducted as Club Penguin Army Legend.
Interview Section
When did you start your CPA Journey, and what was your first army?
I originally knew about armies way back in 2007-08 but the first army i ever joined was UMA in 2010 as a recruit
What extraordinary achievements did you accomplish in Dark Warriors and CPA?
Im mostly known for leading the Rebel Penguin Federation from 2014-2019, I was the first and only major army leader to keep their army alive after Club Penguin shut down and the first to fully utilize CPPSes and show everybody that the army community still had potential. I led the RPF to two Legends Cup victories in 2015 and 2016 as well as countless wars against major armies.
My leadership of the Dark Warriors was brief but very fruitful. I initially signed up in June 2014 with the goal of leading DW’s AUSIA division but eventually became integrated into the EU/US division since it was Summer. I led with Elmikey, XxToysoldier and Vo Yo from June-August 2014 and DW was number 1 on the top ten for the entire time we led together. We dominated the whole community and crushed Waterkid and Roberto’s Light Troops in a war who were the second strongest army at the time. In August Elmikey and I decided to rejoin RPF after being invited back which infuriated the Dark Warriors and we became direct targets of the army we had helped build. After a while tensions simmered though, and I was eventually invited back to DW as an advisor. In December 2014, I decided to rejoin for winter break and formed the legendary Dragons leadership which was me, Toy, Drake, Pufpuf103 and Spi101. Together we quickly reached similar sizes to what we reached in the Summer and even surpassed it during the Christmas Chaos finals where we once again beat the Light Troops and secured our second and last Christmas Chaos tournament victory. After this event I retired from Dark Warriors and went on to spend the rest of my career in RPF
How can you describe the CPA and DW journey in one word? Why?
Fun, because it was really nice to be in the company of amazing guys like Unk and Elm and Freezie learning everything i needed to know for the future, I’ll always consider DW as the catalyst for what I went on to do afterwards and will always cherish the army that put me on the map.
If there’s someone you would like to credit your CPA and Dark Warriors’ journey, who?
Elmikey, because he and I were partners in crime and Im happy that we are still friends today
Lastly, where do you think Dark Warriors will go in the next year?
DW has done very well recently with the war victory against Templars so I’d love to see them build on that! The leaders are doing an amazing job
Throughout his tenure in armies, Silverburg has predominantly served within the Rebel Penguin Federation. However, his experiences with the Dark Warriors have significantly influenced both the army and his personal army career. His contributions have notably facilitated the army’s victories over the Light Troops on two different occasions. It is encouraging to observe that he expresses satisfaction with the current state of the army and our leadership.
