How to Play Thin Ice

Thin Ice on Club Penguin Journey

Thin Ice is located in the Dance Lounge, upstairs of the Dance Club. In Thin Ice, you take control of a flaming Black Puffle and burn a path through an ice maze, heading for the red exit tile while melting as many ice tiles as you can along the way.

• Controls: Move your puffle around the level with the arrow keys or the WASD keys on your keyboard.
• Melt the Ice: Your main goal is to melt as many tiles as possible while making your way to the red exit tile. Walk over every tile in a stage to earn more points!
• No Going Back: Once a tile has melted, you can’t step on it again. If you try, you’ll need to restart the level, so plan your route carefully.
• Coins & Keys: Keep an eye out for coin bags, which earn you extra coins, and keys, which unlock the golden locks that open up other parts of a level.
• No Lives, No Pressure: There are no lives in Thin Ice, and you can skip any level without completing it. Just keep in mind that coin bags may show up in later levels if you solve specific levels, and you can earn more points by completing a level on your first try.
• 19 Levels: There are 19 levels in total, so there’s plenty of ice to get through!

Thin Ice has 9 stamps in total – 1 easy stamp, 3 medium stamps, 3 hard stamps, and 2 extreme stamps. We’ve sorted them by how tricky we think they are, so you can work your way up from the quick wins.

Easy Stamps

Let’s start with a quick win! All you need to do is pick up a coin bag as you play.

1 Coin Bag Stamp

Your first stamp is a simple one! Collect 1 coin bag while playing Thin Ice and it’s yours.

Medium Stamps

Time to step it up! Keep those coin bags coming.

3 Coin Bags Stamp

Keep that coin collecting going! Collect 3 coin bags in total to earn this stamp.

6 Coin Bags Stamp

Halfway to double digits! Collect 6 coin bags in total to unlock this stamp.

Iced Treasure Stamp

To earn this stamp, you need to find the hidden treasure room. You’ll find it on Level 19, where a false wall is hiding in the top right corner of the maze. Pass through it, then make your way to the blue button in the bottom right corner. The walls will disappear and reveal a room filled with 18 coin bags!

Hard Stamps

These three need a bit more know-how, so take your time and don’t be afraid to restart a level.

10 Coin Bags Stamp

Time to fill your pockets! Collect 10 coin bags in total to earn the 10 Coin Bags stamp.

Ice Bonus Stamp

Your flaming puffle needs to get burning! To earn this stamp, you need to completely melt 480 ice tiles. Walking over every tile in a level is the best way to rack them up, so try not to leave any ice behind.

Ice Trekker Stamp

This one is a real brain teaser! To earn the Ice Trekker stamp, you need to push all the blocks to their correct positions.

Extreme Stamps

Here are the big ones! These two take real dedication, but the payoff is worth it.

All Coin Bags Stamp

This one is for the true collectors. To earn it, you need to collect every single coin bag on every level. Remember that some coin bags only appear in later levels if you solve specific levels, so don’t skip too much if you’re aiming for this stamp!

Ice Master Stamp

The final stamp! To become an Ice Master, you need to master all the mazes. Take your time, restart levels when you need to, and don’t give up.

Follow the first route to the glowing tile in the bottom-right corner, then follow the second route to clear the rest of the level and collect the coin bags, which is what you need for the Iced Treasure stamp.

Tips & Tricks

• Plan before you move. Once a tile melts, you can’t walk back over it, so look at the whole maze and plan your route before you take a step.
• Restart when you get stuck. There are no lives in Thin Ice, so restarting a level costs you nothing but a little time.
• Skip when you need to. You don’t have to complete a level to move on, so if a maze is giving you a headache, skip it and come back later. Just remember that some coin bags only appear if you solve specific levels.
• Go for the first try. Completing a level on your first attempt earns you more points, and walking over every tile adds even more.
• Don’t forget the keys. Keys open the golden locks that give you access to other parts of a level, so grab them before heading for the exit.
