The Basics of Card-Jitsu

How to Play: Card-Jitsu on Club Penguin Journey

Think of Card-Jitsu as a high-stakes, tactical showdown of elemental mastery!

• The Elemental Triangle: Fire beats snow, water beats fire, and snow beats water. Choose your element wisely to outmaneuver your rival!

• Number Power: If you and your opponent throw down the exact same element, the tie is broken by the numbers printed on the cards. The highest number claims victory!

• Special Effects: Keep your eyes peeled for special cards packed with game-changing power-ups that can wipe out specific elements or colors from your opponent’s side of the board.

• The Belt Grind: Every match brings you one step closer to ultimate ninja glory. You start out unranked with a humble white belt, working your way up through the ranks until you finally earn that coveted black belt (and the awesome stamps that come with it).

• First Steps: Ready to jump into the dojo? Just track down Sensei to pick up your very first Starter Deck, and you’ll be ready to start dealing cards and dominating the mat in no time!

Card-Jitsu Basic Knowledge

The cards displayed in the bottom right hand corner of your screen is where you view your belt progression, view your deck and buy new cards & power cards for your deck!

Additionally you can view a Belt Legend and Card-Jitsu Instructions on the wall inside the Dojo as you enter!

Starting Card Jitsu 

To begin, you must talk to Sensei here to obtain the Basic Starter Deck. After doing so, you may then go straight into Card-Jitsu.

To start a game of Card-Jitsu, you and another penguin must step onto any of these mats together.

Card-Jitsu Stamp Walkthrough

Card Jitsu has just 10 stamps in total – 2 easy stamps, 3 medium stamps, 3 hard stamps, and 2 extreme stamps.

Below is an image displaying how your stamp book will look prior to beginning Card-Jitsu

Easy Stamps

Grasshopper Stamp

To achieve this stamp, all you have to do is win enough battles to earn your first belt: the White Belt. You need 5 total wins to unlock this belt.

Note: These wins do not have to be consecutive, so don’t worry about losing some matches.

Elemental Win Stamp

To achieve this stamp you have to score three cards, one of each element. So you need one fire, one water, and one snow. Make sure they are all different colors, as a set of similar colors will not get you a win.

Medium Stamps

Fine Student Stamp

Well done you are halfway through the belt progress! For this stamp, you need to unlock the Blue Belt. You need to win a total of 40 times to unlock this belt.

Note: These wins do not have to be consecutive, so don’t worry about losing some matches.

Flawless Victory Stamp

To achieve this, win a game without letting your opponent score any cards. If your opponent scored a card that was deleted by a power card, it does not count and you will not get the stamp.

One Element Stamp

Win the game with an elemental set. So either 3 fire cards, 3 water cards, or 3 snow cards. Make sure your cards are all different colors, otherwise it will not count.

Hard Stamps

True Ninja Stamp

Unlock the final belt: the Black Belt. You need a total of 88 wins to earn this belt. Well done, it’s time to face the big man himself, Sensei.

Note: These wins do not have to be consecutive, so don’t worry about losing some matches.

Ninja Master Stamp

Defeat Sensei and become a ninja! You must have a Black Belt already to obtain this stamp as it is impossible to win against Sensei with a Brown Belt and below.

Match Master Stamp

To achieve this stamp you must win 25 games in one login session. This means no logging off, and if you crash you must start over. It might take you a little while but you’ll get there!

Extreme Stamps

Sensei Card Stamp

To achieve this stamp it is obtained when either you or your opponent plays the level 12 purple Snow Sensei Power card.  The card looks like this:

Full Dojo Stamp

This stamp is achieved far easier when you are coordinating with a buddy. To achieve this stamp, you must score 9 cards and win the match. It is possible to get this without the help of a friend but it is much much more difficult against a random opponent.

Tip: Play cards from the 2 same colors. If neither of your chosen colors are unavailable, allow your opponent to score a card. You probably won’t get this on your first go but in the end it’ll all be worth it!

With all of the Card Jitsu stamps now collected, your Stamp Book will look like this when you view it:

Tips & Tricks

• Getting all of the Card-Jitsu stamps can be tricky, but mastering your strategy will make things much easier! Keep an eye on your opponent’s tendencies, balance your elemental plays wisely and avoid predictable patterns.
• In every match, study your available cards and anticipate what elements your rival might throw next to secure the upper hand. Use power-ups strategically to shift the momentum when you are backed into a corner, and adapt your deck to counter whatever strategy your opponent brings to the mat.
• Finally, practice against different opponents and challenges before rushing into high-stakes matches. Once you learn how to read the flow of the game and master every element, earning those elusive belt levels and stamps will become a whole lot easier!
