How to Play Smoothie Smash
Smoothie Smash first appeared in the original Club Penguin during the 2012 Adventure Party, when Rockhopper brought back a whole load of fruit from Innocent Island. Once the party ended, the game moved to the Coffee Shop, where you can play it any time.
You move your penguin with the arrow keys or WASD to smash fruit on a moving conveyor belt. Press Up (W) to gain air and Down (S) to land faster. Miss the fruit and land on the belt, and your penguin falls off and loses time while it respawns.
There are two modes:
- Normal Mode: You have two minutes to serve as many customers as you can by smashing the right fruit in the right order to fill each recipe. Every correct fruit in a row builds your streak and speeds up the belt, with the points per fruit maxing out after five. Smashing a wrong fruit, or landing on the belt, ends your streak and slows things down. Keep an eye out for clocks above the fruit, as each one adds 10 seconds!
- Survival Mode: There are no customers here. Instead, you have a health bar that drains when you hit an obstacle or land on the belt, and smashing fruit restores it. Anvils and bombs will drop in your way, and later on some of them bounce. The game ends when your health runs out.
Club Penguin Journey Smoothie Smash Stamp Guide
There are 16 stamps to earn in Smoothie Smash: 10 in Normal Mode and 6 in Survival Mode. Lots of them are very similar, so instead of splitting them by difficulty, we’ve grouped them into five sets. Here’s a quick look at all of them before we dive in.
| Stamp | Mode | What You Need To Do |
|---|---|---|
| Shipshake | Normal | Serve Rockhopper. |
| Berry Smart | Normal | Serve Aunt Arctic. |
| Beary Berry | Normal | Serve Herbert. |
| Fruit Splatter | Normal | Smash 10 correct fruit in a row. |
| Fruit Stomper | Normal | Smash 20 correct fruit in a row. |
| Fruit Smasher | Normal | Smash 50 correct fruit in a row. |
| Fruit Squeeze | Normal | Complete 5 recipes in one game. |
| Tasty Treat | Normal | Complete 10 recipes in one game. |
| Energizer | Normal | Complete 20 recipes in one game. |
| Smoothie Zing | Normal | Complete 30 recipes in one game. |
| Fruit Power | Survival | Last 2 minutes in one game. |
| Smoothie Warrior | Survival | Last 4 minutes in one game. |
| Smoothie Master | Survival | Last 8 minutes in one game. |
| Deflector | Survival | Take no damage for 2 minutes. |
| Smoothie Survivor | Survival | Take no damage for 3 minutes. |
| Smoothie Hero | Survival | Take no damage for 4 minutes. |
Serving the Mascots
In Normal Mode you’ll mostly be serving regular penguins, but if you’re lucky, one of 3 mascots will stroll up for a smoothie instead. Finish their recipe to earn their stamp:
Shipshake Stamp

Serve Rockhopper and complete his recipe to earn the Shipshake stamp.
Berry Smart Stamp
Serve Aunt Arctic and complete her recipe to earn the Berry Smart stamp.
Beary Berry Stamp
Serve Herbert and complete his recipe to earn the Beary Berry stamp.
The mascots turn up at random, so the easiest plan is simply to keep playing Normal Mode and let them come to you. If you’d rather speed things along, you can enter and exit Normal Mode until a mascot appears at the start of the game. It might take a few tries, so patience is key!
Correct Fruit in a Row
You’ll notice that each correct fruit in a row gives you bonus points and speeds up the conveyor belt. Keep that streak going and you’ll earn these stamps:
Fruit Splatter Stamp
Smash 10 correct fruit in a row to earn the Fruit Splatter stamp.
Fruit Stomper Stamp
Smash 20 correct fruit in a row to earn the Fruit Stomper stamp.
Fruit Smasher Stamp
Smash 50 correct fruit in a row to earn the Fruit Smasher stamp. That’s a big one, because the belt gets faster and faster the longer your streak lasts!
Tips for Long Fruit Streaks
- Learn the recipe starts. Apart from Aunt Arctic’s and Herbert’s recipes, smoothies always start with an apple or a banana. As you finish one recipe, look out for those first. Keep an eye open for strawberries (Aunt Arctic) or blackberries (Herbert) too, in case one of them is next.
- Stall in mid-air. If the fruit you need isn’t there yet, hold Up (W) and Left (A) to hover until the right one arrives. It’s especially handy when you finish a recipe while the belt is still moving slowly.
- Grab the clocks. Once you have a streak of 5 or more going, clocks appear every 10 to 15 seconds or so. Each one adds time to the game, so collect as many as you can.
- Slam down carefully. Holding Down (S) to slam onto fruit is a speedy way to rack up the 10, 20 or 50, but only try it if you’re confident you can keep up with the belt!
Recipes in One Game
While you’re chasing those fruit streaks, you’ll be completing lots of customer orders without even trying. Finish enough of them in a single game and you’ll earn these stamps:
Fruit Squeeze Stamp
Complete 5 recipes in one game to earn the Fruit Squeeze stamp.
Tasty Treat Stamp
Complete 10 recipes in one game to earn the Tasty Treat stamp.
Energizer Stamp
Complete 20 recipes in one game to earn the Energizer stamp.
Smoothie Zing Stamp
Complete 30 recipes in one game to earn the Smoothie Zing stamp.
The best advice for all four is to protect your correct fruit streak. The longer it lasts, the faster the belt moves, and the faster the belt moves, the quicker the recipes roll in. All the streak tips above work here too.
If you see several correct fruit lined up, you can hold Down (S) to smash through them. Just be careful, because the game sometimes drops the next correct fruit after a run of wrong ones. Keep a finger ready on Up (W) so you can hover until the right fruit arrives.
Surviving in Survival Mode
There are no customers in Survival Mode, so you don’t need to worry about hitting the wrong fruit. Instead, watch out for anvils, bombs and empty gaps. At full health your penguin can take 5 hits before the game ends, but every fruit you smash restores some health, so you’ll be juggling dodging with smashing. Last long enough and you’ll earn these stamps:
Fruit Power Stamp
Last 2 minutes in one game of Survival Mode to earn the Fruit Power stamp.
Smoothie Warrior Stamp
Last 4 minutes in one game of Survival Mode to earn the Smoothie Warrior stamp.
Smoothie Master Stamp
Last 8 minutes in one game of Survival Mode to earn the Smoothie Master stamp.
Tips for Surviving Longer
- Stall in mid-air as long as you can. Hold Up (W) and Left (A) to hover. It helps the timer tick by, and later on, when the belt speeds up, it lets more fruit appear so you have a better chance of avoiding the belt and the obstacles.
- Keep your fingers on the keys. You never know when a run of anvils, bombs or gaps will show up, and you’ll need to dodge quickly when they do.
- If you’re unsure about jumping over a bouncing anvil or bomb, go under. They sometimes bounce too high or spawn at awkward moments. It takes a bit of trial and error, but you’ll soon get a feel for when to go under.
- Count the obstacle tiles. At the start, obstacles only appear one tile at a time. After the 3 minute mark you’ll see two tiles in a row, and from 6 minutes you’ll see three. Keep track of how many have gone by, then hover long enough to grab fruit and land safely.
- If you can’t avoid something, hit an anvil. It sounds odd, but of the three obstacles the anvil is the least harmful. You take the same damage, but it gives you a boost up (especially if you hold Up (W) afterwards), and it’s easier to see where your penguin is than after a bomb or the belt.
- If you hit a bomb, slam down straight away. This is the one time you shouldn’t hover. Bombs tend to send your penguin off-screen, which makes it hard to judge where you’ll land, so slam down as soon as you can, even if there’s no fruit below.
Avoiding Damage
As if lasting long in Survival Mode wasn’t hard enough, there are also 3 stamps for staying damage-free:
Deflector Stamp
Take no damage for 2 minutes in Survival Mode to earn the Deflector stamp.
Smoothie Survivor Stamp
Take no damage for 3 minutes in Survival Mode to earn the Smoothie Survivor stamp.
Smoothie Hero Stamp
Take no damage for 4 minutes in Survival Mode to earn the Smoothie Hero stamp.
Here’s the good news: these stamps count your total time without damage, so you don’t need to do it all in one go. Even if you get hit before the 2, 3 or 4 minute mark, you can still earn them later in the same game as long as you survive and stay damage-free for long enough. The first three survival tips (hover, keep your fingers ready, and go under when unsure) matter most here.

Our Verdict
I honestly have always loved the game since I first played it. It’s a super fun game with easy stamps to obtain. Some can be hard but that’s just part of the fun! Smoothie Smash is a brilliant stamp hunt. Most of the Normal Mode stamps will come naturally as you play, and the Survival Mode ones, especially the no-damage stamps, will give you something to really work towards. Grab a drink, keep your fingers on the keys, and good luck, penguins!
