Club Penguin Journey PSA Mission 1: Case of the Missing Puffles is your first assignment as a secret agent, and Aunt Arctic needs your help! Two of her puffles have disappeared after sneaking into her camera bag, and it’s up to you to track them down. What starts as a simple search quickly turns into a proper investigation, complete with a mysterious coded message, a rescue mission at the Iceberg and a climb to the highest point on the island.

In this walkthrough, we’ll show you how to complete the mission from beginning to end, including how to solve Gary’s sock puzzle, rescue all seven stranded penguins and find both missing puffles. There’s also an optional reward to collect along the way, so don’t rush off without checking for it!

Case of the Missing Puffles Walkthrough

Mission Brief: Our beloved Aunt Arctic, world famous Club Penguin Times reporter, has lost two of her treasured puffles after they snuck into her camera bag. Your mission, if you choose to accept, is to locate her two missing puffles and return them safely to her igloo

Club Penguin Journey PSA Mission 1 begins at our beloved Aunt Arctic’s igloo. Click on Aunt Arctic to talk to her, and she’ll explain that two of her treasured puffles have gone missing. The little troublemakers had hidden inside her camera bag while she was out taking pictures, but at some point they escaped and wandered off to explore the island. Aunt Arctic asks you to find them, so it’s time to start looking for clues.

Your first stop is the Ice Rink. Hit open your map in the top left corner and head to the rink to look for clues

Once you’re at the Ice Rink, head all the way to the right-hand side of the room. You’ll find some photographs lying in the bottom-right corner. Click on them to collect the pictures of the green puffle.

Don’t skip the photographs! They’re optional for completing the mission, but returning them to Aunt Arctic will earn you an additional reward. Head back to her igloo and click on her to give her the pictures. She’ll be happy to have them back, and you can collect the extra reward when the mission is finished.

With the photographs taken care of, it’s time to get back to the search. Make your way to the Pet Shop and look for a small note hidden behind a kennel. Click on it to reveal a message written in PSA code.

The note contains the answer to a rather unusual question: how many pairs of socks does Gary own? The number is randomly generated, so there’s no single answer that works for everyone. You’ll need to decipher the message using the PSA code to find your own number. For me, it was 35 pairs of socks!

The answer will be between 21 and 98 inclusive, and it won’t be divisible by 10. Once you’ve worked it out, remember the number and head to the Sport Shop.

Click on Gary the Gadget Guy and ask him if he has any special items. He’ll ask you how many pairs of socks he owns, so enter the number you decoded from the note.

Get the answer right, and Gary will open the cupboard beside him, allowing you to collect some useful spy equipment. Take both the Life Preserver Tube and the Grappling Hook. You’ll need them to continue your mission, so make sure they’re in your inventory before leaving.

Rescuing the Penguins at the Iceberg

Now that you’ve got Gary’s equipment, travel to the Iceberg. You’ll find seven penguins in peril. They are stranded together on a small piece of ice, and they need your help getting back to safety. They unfortunately haven’t done their swimming lessons yet and can’t swim home!

Select the Life Preserver Tube from your inventory and click on the Iceberg to begin the rescue mini-game. Your objective is to shoot life preservers towards the stranded penguins, but there’s a catch: the wind will affect where your shots land.

Check the wind speed and direction before firing. Adjust your aim to compensate, and keep trying until you’ve successfully rescued all seven penguins.

Once everyone is safe and rescued, speak to the penguin wearing green. He’ll tell you that he spotted two puffles while the group was stranded, but couldn’t see them properly because he wasn’t high enough.

That sounds like a pretty good clue! If the puffles are somewhere up high, you’ll need a better view of the island to find them. Head to Ski Mountain to investigate.

Finding the Puffles at the Tallest Mountain

At Ski Mountain, you’ll find a brown penguin in tears sitting beside a broken telescope. Click on him to talk, and he’ll ask you to repair his telescope so he can see again.

Open your Spy Phone and press the red button to access your tools. Select the wrench and use it on the broken telescope’s tripod to fix it. Once the telescope is working, click on it to look through the lens. Move your view to the left until you spot the Tallest Mountain in the distance. Keep looking and you’ll see a green puffle flying around near the summit.

After all that searching and exploring, we’ve finally found a lead! The missing puffles are somewhere up there, but getting to them will take a little more work. Open your map and travel to the Tallest Mountain. When you arrive, scroll up to see the mountain’s peak.

Open your inventory, select the Grappling Hook you collected from Gary and click on the side of the mountain to throw it. You don’t need to aim for a specific spot, so anywhere on the mountainside will work. Once the Grappling Hook catches, you’ll climb to the top and discover Aunt Arctic’s two missing puffles!

The green puffle will lead you to the purple puffle, and at last both of them are safe. After finding them, you’ll automatically be transported back to Aunt Arctic’s igloo, where the mission comes to an end.

Mission Complete!

Congratulations! You’ve solved Case of the Missing Puffles, reunited Aunt Arctic with her pets and completed Club Penguin Journey PSA Mission 1! You’ll receive the Mission 1 Medal for completing the mission, along with the Letter from Aunt Arctic for returning the photos to her.
