Club Penguin Journey Card-Jitsu Fire Guide: How to Play

Because the game arrived with the Card-Jitsu Fire Party, it’s played in the Fire Dojo, a fiery, volcanic room that you can reach from the Ninja Hideout. It’s the main room for the game, so it’s where all the action happens. You play with 1 to 3 other penguins, and each match is a race to keep your energy up while your rivals lose theirs.

The Board

Players are placed on a ring-like board, but only the outer ring of its two circular layers is the game board. On your turn, you pick a tile from the inner ring, then its number decides how many steps you move, anywhere from one to six, along the outer ring. Since the inner tiles are face down, you have to choose at random. Once the number is revealed, you pick one of two possible tiles to land on.

Tile Types

There are three types of tile you can land on, but each one starts a different kind of battle:

Tile Battle Energy Outcome
Element Tile (Fire, Water or Snow) Everyone plays a card of that element, so check your hand first. The highest card keeps its energy, while everyone else loses 1.
Cycle of Elements Tile The player who lands here picks the element, so choose one you’re strong in. The highest card keeps its energy, while everyone else loses 1.
Two-Card Battle Tile The player who lands here picks an opponent for a classic Card-Jitsu duel, so choose wisely. The winner steals 1 energy from the loser, so it’s the only way to gain energy.

Two-card battles can also happen when two players land on the same tile. However, if someone lands on an element tile and nobody has a card of that element, everyone loses 1 energy. In a two-card duel, the usual rules apply: fire beats snow, snow beats water and water beats fire, but power cards don’t have their special powers.

Energy Points

Every player starts a match with 6 energy points, so they work like lives. Some guides call them fire points, but they’re the same thing. Keep an eye on these rules, because energy decides who wins:

  • You lose or gain energy depending on the results of each battle, so every tile counts.
  • Once you reach 0, you’re eliminated.
  • Two-card battles are the only way to gain energy, so protect what you have!
  • The game ends once only one penguin is left standing, and the final rankings depend on how much energy each player has left.

Getting Started

Getting Into the Fire Dojo

The Fire Dojo isn’t open to everyone, so make sure you’ve ticked off these first:

  • First, become a ninja by defeating Sensei and earning your ninja mask.
  • Then buy the Amulet from Martial Artworks, which costs 200 coins.
  • Next, open the map and go to the Dojo Courtyard, then enter the Ninja Hideout on the far left.
  • Finally, click the glowing fire plaque to reveal the entrance, and walk through the door once it rises.

Some guides call the plaque a fire tomb or headstone, but it’s the same glowing fire symbol in the Ninja Hideout.

Starting a Match

Once you’re inside, talk to Sensei in the Fire Dojo, then step onto any of the mats with 1 to 3 other penguins to start a match. Sensei also has an Earn Fire Suit option, which starts your Fire Ninja journey. If you don’t receive your cards, talk to Sensei in the main Dojo first to get your card set and 10 extra cards, and then speak to Sensei in the Fire Dojo.

The Fire Suit

As you win matches, you’ll unlock the pieces of your fire suit one by one, while your progress is tracked as you go. Here’s the order they come in, so you know what to expect:

  1. Flame Sandals
  2. Magma Coat, which is the halfway point, so it earns you the Fire Midway stamp
  3. Lava Mask
  4. Fiery Helmet, which is the last piece, so you’ll be ready for Sensei

Once the suit is complete, you can challenge Sensei. Once you beat him, you’ll receive the Fire Gem for your Amulet and become a Fire Ninja. Sensei has patterns, so you can learn how he plays and predict his moves.

Club Penguin Journey Card-Jitsu Fire Guide: Stamp Walkthrough

Since there are 8 stamps to earn in Card-Jitsu Fire, let’s sort them by difficulty: 2 Easy, 1 Medium, 3 Hard and 2 Extreme. First, here’s a quick look at all of them.

  • Warm Up (Easy): Win 10 matches.
  • Score Fire (Easy): Gain 1 energy point in a match by winning a two-card battle.
  • Fire Midway (Medium): Unlock the Magma Coat.
  • Strong Defense (Hard): Finish a match with 6 or more energy points without losing any.
  • Fire Suit (Hard): Unlock the full fire suit.
  • Fire Ninja (Hard): Defeat Sensei and receive your Fire Gem.
  • Max Energy (Extreme): Gain 3 energy points in one match by winning two-card battles.
  • Fire Expert (Extreme): Win 50 matches.

Easy Stamps

These two are the quickest stamps, so they’re a great place to start.

Warm Up Stamp

Let’s get started! First, win 10 matches to earn the Warm Up stamp. They don’t need to be back to back, so just keep playing and your wins will add up.

Score Fire Stamp

Club Penguin Journey Card-Jitsu Fire guide score fire stamp

For the Score Fire stamp, you’ll need to gain 1 energy point in a match, but only two-card battles let you steal energy. So land on a two-card battle tile or share a tile with another player, and then win the duel.

Medium Stamps

Fire Midway Stamp

You’re halfway to becoming a Fire Ninja, so unlock the Magma Coat to earn the Fire Midway stamp. The Flame Sandals unlock just before it, so you’ll be collecting your fire gear along the way.

Hard Stamps

These three take a bit more skill and some patience, but they’re all doable.

Strong Defense Stamp

This one is all about staying safe, so to earn Strong Defense, finish a match with 6 or more energy points without losing any. Be careful, because losing even a single point disqualifies you, even if you still finish on 6 or more.

Fire Suit Stamp

Time to finish the outfit, because once you have the Magma Coat, you can unlock the full fire suit to earn the Fire Suit stamp. The Fiery Helmet is the very last item, and once you have it, you’ll be ready to battle Sensei.

Fire Ninja Stamp

The big moment! Then defeat Sensei and receive your Fire Gem to earn the Fire Ninja stamp. Make sure you’ve unlocked the full fire suit first, as that’s what lets you take on Sensei.

Extreme Stamps

These two are the toughest of the bunch, but they’re what really sets you apart.

Max Energy Stamp

Now for a real challenge, because you’ll need to gain 3 energy points in one match by winning two-card battles to earn the Max Energy stamp. Since each win steals just 1 energy, you’ll need to land on those battle tiles again and again.

Fire Expert Stamp

Finally, win 50 matches to earn the Fire Expert stamp. Just like Warm Up, they don’t have to be consecutive, so it’s all about putting in the games.

Club Penguin Journey Card-Jitsu Fire Guide: Tips

Winning Matches

  • Use your landing choice: Once the number is revealed, you can pick between two tiles, so choose the one that suits the cards in your hand.
  • Keep a mix of elements: If someone lands on an element tile and nobody holds that element, everyone loses 1 energy, so a balanced hand keeps you safe.
  • Save your best cards: The highest card keeps its energy on element and cycle tiles, so hold your strongest cards back for those battles.
  • Play with friends: You can play with 1 to 3 other penguins, so grab some friends and rack up those wins together.

Stamps and Sensei

  • Go for Score Fire and Max Energy together: Both come from winning two-card battles, so one good match can earn you both.
  • Play it safe for Strong Defense: Limiting your damage is sometimes better than a risky win, because one lost point ruins the stamp.
  • Study Sensei: He follows patterns, so watch how he plays and then predict his next move. One community guide also suggests using plenty of Fire cards, at least 6 Water cards and a mix of high and low Snow cards.
  • Unlock the full fire suit first: The Fiery Helmet is the last piece, and it’s what lets you challenge Sensei for the Fire Ninja stamp.
  • Sort your ninja status early: You can’t enter the Fire Dojo until you’ve beaten Sensei and bought the Amulet, so do those first.
