Moon Candy is the currency for this party, so you’ll want plenty of it. So here’s how the hunt works in our Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide:

Once you’re inside an igloo, the clock is ticking, because you only have 60 seconds to find the Pile O’ Moon Candy. However, if you don’t find it in time, the igloo will light back up and hide the pile again, so you can always try another one.

Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party Guide: Dark Chamber
The Dark Chamber is a maze made up of four rooms, and it’s where you’ll earn three stamps. It also leads to the Monster Maker Lab and the Haunted House, so it’s well worth the trip. So here’s how to get through it with our Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide.
Room One: The Musical Puzzle
First, head over to the Forest, where you’ll find the entrance to the Dark Chamber. Once you’re inside, you’ll need to complete a musical puzzle to unlock the doors to the next room. To do that, simply follow the colourful smoke patterns, and then the doors will open. Best of all, completing it also adds both the Music Maestro and Party Puzzle stamps to your stamp book.
Don’t worry if you struggle, because we’ve listed the patterns below:
- First pattern: Red, Blue, Orange, Red
- Second pattern: Red, Orange, Blue, Red, Green
- Third pattern: Green, Red, Orange, Blue, Red
Rooms Two and Three: The Dark Mazes
When you enter room two, you’ll notice it’s pitch dark, so grab the free Storm Lantern to light your way through the maze. Then follow the route and head into the next room. Room three follows the same idea, so use your light to follow the route and complete the maze.
Room Four: The Path Finder Stamp
Congratulations, you’ve completed the maze and earned the Path Finder stamp! Before you leave, don’t forget to collect your free item, and check out the Monster Maker catalog on your way out.
Haunted House: Creepy Candle
Next, use the exit and enter the Haunted House, which you can also reach through the Forest. Then head up the stairs and grab your free Creepy Candle, so you’ll leave with another free item.
Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party Guide: Monster Maker Catalog
Also, the Monster Maker catalog can be found at the end of the Dark Chamber, inside the Monster Maker Lab. Unlike the other catalogs, this one uses coins instead of Moon Candy, so every price below is in coins. Also, this Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide lists every price in the lab.

Bird Mascot Head – 200 coins

Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party Guide: Limbo Maze
So, ready for a challenge? Head over to the Beacon to enter the Limbo Maze. It’s the way to the Vampire Castle and the Moon Dimension, and it also comes with four rewards. So this part of our Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide covers all of them.
Getting Through the Maze
Be careful, because touching the void will send you back to the latest checkpoint you reach. The checkpoints are the red squares on the ground, so use them to your advantage.
Room Two: Black Ghost Costume
While you’re making your way through, you’ll reach room two of the maze, where you can pick up a free Black Ghost Costume. After you’ve picked one up, it will cost 50 Moon Candy to buy more, so grab your free one first.
[BLACK GHOST COSTUME – ROOM TWO]
Crimson Rose
When you reach the end of the maze, you can collect a Crimson Rose before you exit. Don’t forget it, because you’ll need it later.
Vampire Background
Once you exit the maze, you’ll enter the Vampire Castle and meet the Empress and Emperor. Once you talk to them, you’ll receive the Vampire Background.
Crimson Moon Background
To talk with the Moon Spirit, first equip the Crimson Rose in your hand, and the blue rose in the corner will turn red. Then waddle up to the red rose, and you’ll be taken to the Moon Dimension. Once you’re there, click on the Moon Spirit to talk to her and claim your Crimson Moon Background.
Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party Guide: Quests
There are 18 quests available during this party, and 8 of them unlock at a later date. So here are the week 1 quests from our Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide, sorted by difficulty. If you’d like to save time, start with the Limbo Maze ones, because several quests need it.
Easy Quests
The Cards Have Spoken
Your first job is to have your fortune told by the tarot cards. First, head to the Book Room, which is upstairs in the Coffee Shop. Then step inside the Fortunes booth and hit Start. Finally, pick a card, any card, and you’ll get a random fortune that completes the quest.
What Lurks Within?
First, this quest is all about finding your species. Look at the top right of your screen, where you’ll see a couple of new icons, and click the pencil and paper. Then take the quiz to find out which species you align with for the party.
The quiz asks a series of questions, but there’s no right or wrong answer as far as the quest goes. Once you’ve made your choices, you’ll be given a species and the option to retake the quiz if it isn’t the one you wanted. Any species completes the quest, so you only need to do it once if you’re happy. After that, you can exit or visit your shrine.
Heir to the Crest
Once you’ve finished the species quiz, you can claim your crest. Then go to the location of the species you chose, and click the Crest. Just be careful, because you’ll get a warning that you can no longer switch species.
- Fae: Forest
- Hunter: Snow Forts
- Vampire: Ski Hill
- Witch: The Dock
- Wildlings: Iceberg
Once you’re sure, hit Yes. This gives you an exclusive pin for your species and completes the quest.
Castle Trust Fall
This one is simpler than it sounds, so don’t stress. First, all you need to do is go to the Lighthouse Beacon and enter the Limbo Maze. Simply entering completes the quest, so you can leave right away. However, you may want to try the maze while you’re there, because you’ll need it for Escape from Limbo.
Medium Quests
Sweets in the Shadows
While you’re in the Limbo Maze, you’ll need to find a hidden piece of candy. At random points in the maze, there are piles of candy on the ground, and some of them have a floating piece above them. Then run to that one, and you’ll be awarded between 5 and 15 candy, which completes the quest.
Knock Knock, Trick or Treat!
For this quest, you need to find the candy stash in 10 different igloos. First, click the candy icon at the top right of your screen, and you’ll be prompted to select an igloo. You can pick any igloo, so don’t overthink it.
Once you’re inside, click around in the dark until you see the candy pile. It’s hidden by the player, so it can be anywhere. When you spot it, run up and click it, and then repeat the process until you’ve done it 10 times.
Waddle-In Fright Night
First, head over to the dance lounge, which is above the dance club. Then pull up a chair and watch Night of the Living Sled. Don’t leave early, because you must watch the entire movie for the quest to count.
Hard Quests
Kindred Spirits
First, grab one of your buddies or just a random penguin in the room, and head to your shrine. Then put on 4 of the same items to complete the quest.
Escape from Limbo
Remember the maze at the Beacon? So now it’s time to complete it. Follow the path through the maze and stay in the light, or you’ll be sent back to your nearest checkpoint. Also, hold Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) while clicking to avoid clicking on the other penguins in the maze. The path is pretty easy, so it’s mostly a matter of getting the timing right with the lights.
Extreme Quests
Attack of the Puffle Clones
So now let’s head to the Pet Shop. You’ll need 30 penguins with puffles for this one, and everyone has to match at least one of the same puffle accessories. So you’ll need to coordinate with the whole room. It’s best to try this at peak hours on Blizzard, since you’ll have better odds of finding others. You may have to wait a while, but hopefully everyone can work together.
That’s all for week 1 of our Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide! The remaining quests unlock later in the party, so check back for part 2.
Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party Guide: Stamps
There are seven stamps to earn at this party, so we’ve gathered all of them in one place. First, here’s how to get each one in our Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide, along with a quick reminder of where it comes from.
Music Maestro
You’ll earn this one in room one of the Dark Chamber. Simply complete the musical puzzle by following the colourful smoke patterns, and the stamp will be added to your stamp book. If you get stuck, the patterns are listed in the Dark Chamber section above.
Party Puzzle
Best of all, this stamp comes from the same musical puzzle, so you’ll get it at the same time as Music Maestro. Once the doors open, check your stamp book to see both of them.
Path Finder
Next, make your way through the dark mazes in rooms two and three, and then reach room four. As soon as you complete the maze, you’ll earn the Path Finder stamp.
Explorer
This stamp asks you to visit every single room on the island, except for the stage. So work through the map one area at a time, and keep a list so you don’t miss any. Once you’ve been everywhere, the stamp is yours.
Dot
Dot will be arriving on the island throughout the party, so keep an eye on our mascot tracker channel to see when she arrives to collect her stamp!
Gary
Likewise, Gary will also be on the island over the course of the party. So keep your eyes peeled for Gary too, and you’ll earn the second mascot stamp.
Monster Mash
To earn this one, you need to create a costume using the Monster Maker catalog. You’ll find the catalog at the end of the Dark Chamber, inside the Monster Maker Lab, and every price is in coins. Then put your costume on, and that’s every stamp in our Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide done!
Halloween Party Tips
Before you go, here are a few tips from our Club Penguin Journey Halloween Party guide to help you through the party:
- Unlock your igloo first: You need it to claim and place your Pile O’ Moon Candy, so do that before you start hunting.
- Watch the clock: You only have 60 seconds in each igloo, so don’t waste time wandering around.
- Check the Welcome Room: Other penguins sometimes advertise their igloos there, so you’ll have more places to hunt.
- Grab the Crimson Rose before you exit: You can’t talk to the Moon Spirit without it, and it’s collected before you leave the maze.
- Pick your species carefully: Once you click your crest, you can’t switch species, so retake the quiz first if you want a different one.
- Grab the Storm Lantern in room two: The Dark Chamber is dark, so you need the lantern to light your way through the maze.
- Grab the free Black Ghost Costume in room two: It’s hiding in the Limbo Maze, and any extras will cost you 50 Moon Candy after your first.
- Use the checkpoints: The red squares in the Limbo Maze save your progress, so you won’t have to start over if you fall.
- Save your coins for the Monster Maker: It’s the only catalog that doesn’t use Moon Candy, so your coins will come in handy there.
